We’re pleased to announce a series of free, live Wolfram|Alpha Back-to-School Webinars that give K–12 educators and administrators an overview of the utility and features of Wolfram|Alpha in education. Educators are showing interest in and enthusiasm for Wolfram|Alpha, and we look forward to helping them incorporate it into their classrooms.
The webinars will be presented by Holland Lincoln, Manager of Education and Business Development, and will feature a live Q&A.

I am very interested but will be teaching during the last two classes as I am in the Pacific time zoon. Will these be recorded so that we can participate later? I could register and not do the last two but that doesn’t seem fair with you limited enrollment.
Hi Carol, We’re happy to hear that you’re interested in participating! The good news is that you will only need to participate in one of the webinars. We will cover the same topics in each one. We hope that you can join us for one of the earlier sessions. Thank you!
Will the webinars be available as a podcast, video, or slideshare with audio overlay?
Thanks
John Blue
I had the same question as Carol, but will be unable to attend any of the sessions, as we will be in class, or still “on the clock” during the sessions. Any possibility of offering some webinars for educators that are outside of the school day Pacific time, and/or make recordings available? Thank you.
I too have the same question. Our district’s curriculum coordinator in the area of Mathematics is interested in sitting down with me to have a conversation about what this tool can do for our kids. However, she cannot attend any of the live sessions.
Will one of the sessions be archived? (please say yes)

John, Cyndy, and Sean,
It’s wonderful seeing so much interest in the webinars. Thank you! A video transcript of a webinar will be made available on the Wolfram|Alpha for Educators site. We will post a message here, and on Twitter when the video is available.
I suggest you also post a message on the community. I and others would see it when we checked for new posts regardsless of the topic you posted it under. Probably Education.
Count me in for future webinars… we’re donating green flooring to many local school systems to raise awareness of sustainable materials.
I’m very interested in the ramifications with green education.
September 9th is a Thursday…is the the webinar on the 9th or Friday the 10th?
Gwen, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. That session will take place on Thursday, September 9, 2010. We’ve updated the post with the correct day of the week. Thank you!
Tried to attend Wed. Sept. 8th webinar but never connected. Can anyone help? I was registered and went to the site. Also called the 800 number and used the passcode I received.
Hi Brenda, Today’s webinar will start at 6pm Central Time. We look forward to connecting with you this evening! Thank you.
