So you have more Facebook friends than anyone else on campus, the quad is a place where everyone knows your name, and you just happened to ace your business and marketing courses—it sounds like you are the perfect fit for a Wolfram|Alpha marketing internship. We’ve launched this challenging new internship program for talented and ambitious students just like you. It’s an opportunity for you to engage in immediate, real-world marketing experiences, testing out cutting-edge and traditional strategies and methods.
The semester-long internship program will be conducted on college campuses across the United States. The program integrates academic theory and scenario-based practice that puts you in the position of making mid-level business decisions, analyzing marketing campaign results, and reflecting on your campaigns. (Your professors will love this!)
We’re looking for highly motivated candidates, especially those with a business, marketing, engineering, or management information systems background, and students of other majors who are interested in product marketing. The goal of your assignment is to increase the awareness and use of Wolfram|Alpha. Preference will be given to candidates who have done some outrageous marketing before for school events, sports, etc. And if you rock this program, you could become eligible to interview for full-time, paid positions within Public Relations or other departments of Wolfram Research, Inc., located in Champaign, Illinois, USA.
Your school may offer college credit for your participation. Length and start dates for the Fall 2009 semester may vary. Apply by sending your resumé and cover letter to PR_interns@wolframalpha.com. The email’s subject line must contain “Wolfram|Alpha Marketing Internships:” followed by your school’s name.
