Wolfram|Alpha Goes Back to School—for Teachers!

Is it really possible that yet another summer is drawing to a close? Here at Wolfram|Alpha, we’ve spent our summer getting ready to head back to school—building new course assistant apps, adding new data, and even making Wolfram|Alpha interactive with CDF. As the world’s leading knowledge engine, we’ve made it our mission to continually improve and ensure that we’re helping students and teachers around the globe explore concepts, ideas, and calculations on a deeper level than previously possible.

As you look for new teaching tools to enhance your lesson plans this school year, be sure to consider all the capabilities of Wolfram|Alpha. From viewing recent earthquake data to exploring derivatives to comparing elements, Wolfram|Alpha queries can help teachers of all grade levels reinforce important concepts and expose students to researching and learning through the use of technology (and we all know how happy that makes administrators and parents!).

To help teachers better understand how to get the most out of Wolfram|Alpha’s products, we’re excited to announce a series of teacher workshops, free to all teachers in K–12 classrooms and beyond. Delivered online via Adobe Connect session, these workshops will allow teachers to get an inside look at how to build lesson plans with Wolfram|Alpha queries, create a series of widgets for their classroom, and explore how Course Assistant Apps can be used on iPad, iPhone, or iPod in class to supplement textbooks and traditional instructional methods.
